Thanks to everyone and...yes, I can read and understand written French quite well (I've studied it for some years, unfortunately about forty-fortyfive years ago...) but to speak it and, namely, to conceive and write an articulated answer in the Camus language is another stuff... If you don't mind I'd continue with English.
Anyway:
1) I have uncorrectly assigned to E7 (a silly fault of mines), the Loire 130 instead of Loire 70, even if I referred to Batailles Aeriennes 11 (Les combats franco-italiens) where, in effect, nothing is mentioned about Finisterre.
2) I've found the Finisterre mentioned in a base text about the regia Aeronautica in WWII, i.e. "L'aeronautica italiana nella seconda guerra mondiale", by gen. G. Santoro (former deputy Chief of Staff during the war), Vol. 1, page 114: he includes a report of the Commissione Italiana di armistizio con la Francia (CIAF) where the results of 12 June raid are listed (after inspection of CIAF members on site):
- Karouba: 4 Loire destroyed or heavily damaged
- Sidi Ahmed: 1 Goeland destroyed, 1 Goeland and 1 Bloch damaged; 200 200-liters gasoline barrels burnt
- Ponty bay: ship Finisterre sunk and some near misses on submarines and minelayer Castor
Hope this can give some clue on the episode
Merci beaucoup a tout le monde !
